An old man lives in this house, along one of my walking routes, and he has an equally old dog. I've seen the old man's son(?) helping the old dog outside for his daily "constitutional" on some early mornings when I was driving by.
Yesterday when I drove by after my run to the bakery, one of our local peacocks (yes, peacocks), was standing on the brick flowerbed wall in front of the main window. The window curtains were closed, like they always are, but I bet the bird was communicating the old dog inside. I drove around the block while I opened my window and reached for my camera, and he was still there...
