a lot of chrome
I'm starting to transfer some of the old slides, and I came across this one with my 54 Chevy. Chicken legs and all, I was proud of that car. Though not as excessive as some models that came out a few years later, we Americans sure did use a lot of chrome!
Especially the bumpers and grill work. I remember looking at the car one day and thinking, "I own this whole thing", and "Boy, that's a lot of chrome!

It was in pretty good shape. Too bad you didn't store it in a garage and only drive it a few times per month.
