looking up into the leaves...

standing next to the trunk of this small tree, looking up into the leaves, enjoying the colors and patterns...

the wind was blowing, the leaves and sunlight shadows moving around...



sometimes the negative areas are as beautiful and interesting as the leaves themselves


when I first looked at the next photo, I thought the white jagged area in the middle was the background landscape showing through


and then I realized that it was the other side of the leaf being bleached out white by the sunlight
