witnessing the changing season...

The colors are fading and getting darker.
The sun's coming out now, but it was very gray this morning.

On my walk, I focused on the black and white patterns of tree branches, and the textures of the trees with the background of gray clouds.

The colors have changed so much just since last Monday. Fall is in full swing, and the dying and fallen leaves are giving me a lot of photo choices.

sunlight through leaves...

Morning walks for me are like my meditations. I should always make time, no matter how busy I am. When the voice in my head says "I don't have time", that's the very time I NEED to do it.

I got out yesterday for the first time in 5 days! Maybe 4, because I have some good photos (I think) that I uploaded Monday morning. This is the first chance I've had to go back and peruse them.

I never know what or if something will get my attention, but Monday I got excited about the morning sun showing through the different tree leaves.

this morning at the Southcenter Mall

A dull, gray morning, but the drizzle brought out some of the track's rusty red colors.

Thursday, November 4, 2010

I took this first photo today when I noticed the "eyes" on these three trunks.

I then looked up and saw the sunlight on the higher branches...

When I saw the orange glow on my hands and camera, I decided to try a self portrait.

The wonder of Fall...

I could see a preview of the sun's golden colors under the overpass this morning.

The trail was completely covered by maple leaves.

My shadow, pointing...
